Rural Development

Rural Development is often mentioned by those who are trying to access funding for their own neurotic narrow selfish and personal interests. Vusizwe is part of a group that is spearheading Development in a Rural Area named Ngqutura. This program is managed by a collective from eleven villages and it named Ngqutura Community Development Trust.

The second project that Vusizwe Foundation for Rural Development has spearheaded is named Eastern Cape Cultural Ensemble Institute. More information of this project is on its website: www.easterncapeensemble.com

The Ngqutura Community Development Trust is the think-tank and institutional framework which is aimed at championing meaningful development with the Ngqutura Community by the people of Ngqutura. Currently there is a very energetic and vibrant self-appointed Advisory Task Team committee that is championing the work leading the the formal establishment of this structure. There are several clusters that have been identified and key pillars of the strategy of the NCDT (Ngqutura Community Development Trust) and these are listed below:

  3. Agriculture Development and Environment Affairs
  4. Education and Capacity Building
  5. Social Welfare, Health and Safety
